2. In your Chrome browser, Google Search for "Screencastify"
4. Select "Add to Chrome" and then click "Add Extension" to add Screencastify to your Chrome browser.
5. Screencastify has been successfully installed. Click the Screencastify icon to set it up.
Click "Add Extension".
Click "Next" to store recordings into your Google Drive.
Sign into your CMCSS Google account.
Setup Camera Access by clicking "Setup Camera Access". Allow use of your camera and microphone.
Grant Permission to Screencastify to store files in your Drive account.
Once you have everything set up, click the Orange Get Started Checkbox.
6. Now that Screencastify has been set up, you can select the Screencastify icon in your Chrome browser.

7. Click the Screencastify icon.
Customize the settings to record the screencast.
Capture
Tab: not enabled
Desktop: will capture what you select on your computer's desktop
Cam: will use your computer's camera to capture image
Audio
Microphone: select "Default" and do not adjust volume
System Audio: should remain checked
Video
Embed webcam: select the location of your webcam - upper right or left, lower right or left
Show preview window: provides a preview window of what is being recorded
Click Record Desktop when ready to begin.
8. Choose what to share (record). Click Share.
When the Share button is clicked, there will be a 3 second countdown before recording begins.
9. At the bottom of the screen, a message that Screencastify is sharing the screen.
10. When finished recording, click "Pause" or "Stop Sharing" by clicking on the Screencastify icon.
And Then,
11.When the Screencast is complete, a screen to Share, Crop, Save to Disk or Delete will appear..
Remember the screencast has been saved to your Drive account (if set it up.)
13. Click on the "Share" icon and then "Get Link".
And Then
14. A link will show. Copy and paste it to an email or other website.
It can be shared with Google Classrooms from here.
It is also saved in a folder in your Google Drive called "Screencastify".
